Indiana Purdue University (IPFW) Pedestrian Bridge - Fort Wayne, Indiana

The IPFW pedestrian Bridge designed by Engineering Resources, Inc., Completed in 2003, spans 246 feet and at its highest point is 104 feet above street level. It is constructed of steel, concrete and glass at a cost of $2.2 million. It is one of the first cable-stay bridges of its kind in Indiana and has become a landmark for both the university and the city of Fort Wayne. The bridge connects the main campus with student housing and activities, allowing for safe pedestrian passage across a busy multi lane state road.
