PROFESSIONAL HISTORY:

1997-Present: Engineering Resources, Inc.  

                                                                                    

            President

 

Corporate Leader and Senior Engineer for Engineering Resources, Inc., a firm specializing in Structural, Civil, Hydraulic and Transportation Engineering.

 

· Bridge project types include: replacements and rehabilitation designs for locally funded and federally funded projects. Designer of the IPFW pedestrian bridge over Crescent Avenue.

 

· Structural project types include: concrete, steel, aluminum, and wood design and rehabilitation for commercial, industrial, residential and municipal projects. Project development followed design-build and traditional design-bid-build.

 

· Civil project include site development for commercial, industrial and municipal projects. This also includes major roadway projects for state and local routes.

 

· Hydraulic project types include: flood study modifications (LOMR), floodway fill resolution through the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, detention and storm sewer design, and stream reconstruction and scour countermeasures.

· Responsible for administration, project management, design, and plan preparation for bridge, hydraulic and structural projects.

· Transportation project types included: Local, State and Federally funded road and bridge projects.

            Transportation & Structural Engineer

· Worked summers and breaks prior to graduation and full time after graduation. Responsible for the design of Local, LPA and INDOT projects. Completed designs for Allen County, the City of Fort Wayne, the City of New Haven, and INDOT.

· Responsible for the design of parking structures for Purdue University - West Lafayette, IPFW - Fort Wayne, and Parkview Medical Office Building including component and seismic design. Provided various other designs including wood and steel designs, hydraulics and geotechnical engineering.

 

 

1983-1988: Allen County Highway Department

 

            Design Technician, Const. Inspector

· Responsible for surveying and design of small bridge structures. Provided constr. eng. & inspection services for many county bridges, including federal-aid projects.

· Worked part-time as a construction engineer for LPA and INDOT bridge projects through Primco Construction Company.

 

INSTRUCTOR:

· Associate Instructor for structural engineering courses at Indiana-Purdue, Fort Wayne. Courses include Level III structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete.

 

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT:

· Proficient in several computer programming languages including BASIC, QuickBASIC, VisualBASIC, Fortran, C, Turbo C++, and Visual C++. Holder of two United States Copyrights. The first is for the reinforced concrete slab bridge program "SLABBR.EXE". The second program is G.I.A.N.T., Graphics Integrated ANalysis Tool. This program analyzes frames, trusses, reinforced concrete beams and columns, retaining walls, spread footings, and structural steel.
