Design Engineer
· Serves as a design engineer for Structural projects as well as Site Development projects. He has a wide base of knowledge in differing project types.
· Design Engineer responsible for plan development for Structural, Civil, Hydraulic and Transportation projects.
· Structural projects include plan development of libraries, assisted living centers, warehouses, educational facilities and churches.
· Site development project tasks include hydrology and hydraulic design, flood studies, and State and local permitting.
· Transportation projects include roadway reconstruction and bridge projects.
Summer 1997: Fox Contractors Corp.
Laborer
· Laid various types of concrete and plastic pipe along with manholes for drainage of new facilities
· Installed multiple sand layers for a new landfill cell.
· Placed numerous gravel lifts for concrete pavement and curb.
· Dug up augured cast pilings for the foundation of a building addition.
· Performed various labor work in preventive erosion control along roadways and bridges.
Summer 1996: Illinois Department of Transportation
Summer Intern
· Inspected removal of pavement, milling of existing pavement, and laying of bituminous surface and concrete pavement.
· Filled out daily reports of work completed by the contractor.
· Surveyed various tasks for drainage problems, horizontal curves, and other needed elevations.
· Assisted in the layout of lanes of a highway intersection.
