Engineering Resources, Inc. is a multi-disciplined engineering firm
established in January 1997. The firm offers civil, transportation,
hydraulic, and structural engineering services along with landscape design.
The staff of Engineering Resources bring many years of experience as
corporate leaders, engineers, and designers for a diverse client and project
base. Engineering Resources is dedicated to the needs of the client,
providing service beyond expectations.
Engineering Resources, Inc. has gained
experience in both the private and public sectors, including locally and
federally funded projects. We have extensive experience in site,
landscaping, transportation, hydraulics and structural projects including:
assisted living communities, medical office buildings, industrial
facilities, small and large box commercial, residential subdivisions,
libraries, primary education, franchise commercial, and local universities,
including IPFW and the Indiana Institute of Technology. The following is a
partial list of projects that have been completed to date or are currently
under design:
HEALTH CARE PROJECTS

Peabody Retirement Community: Site
development of a 32 Acre assisted living community in North Manchester,
Indiana. Design services included underground detention, off-site storm
sewer, railroad crossing, sanitary sewer, water main, fire protection
facilities, hardscape paving, earthwork balance calculations, and site
grading. Permitting services included IDEM, IDNR, SWCS, Railroad, and
the North Manchester Plan Commission.

Saint Anne’s Home Assisted Living Addition –
Fort Wayne, Indiana: Site development and Structural Engineering
services for this three story addition. Civil Design services include:
perimeter road, hardscape paving, and site grading. The structural
services included block and precast concrete floor system for the lower
floor with typical wood framing for the upper floors. |
EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS

Indiana University / Purdue University Fort Wayne, Pedestrian Bridge
over Crescent Avenue: Services included the design of a pedestrian
bridge to connect the existing main campus with a future residence hall
campus on the opposite side of Crescent Avenue. The project utilized TEA
Federal Funds. Engineering Resources was selected to prepare a location
study, environmental categorical exclusion, and INDOT bid documents for
the proposed project. This unique structure will serve as a centerpiece
for the University, and a gateway for the City of Fort Wayne. |
RECREATIONAL PROJECTS

Jorgensen YMCA: Site development and Structural Engineering design of a
10 Acre site for the Greater Fort Wayne Area YMCA in Fort Wayne,
Indiana. Design services include storm sewer, storm water detention
facilities, sanitary sewer, water main, fire protection facilities,
hardscape paving, intersection improvements, road improvements,
earthwork balance calculations, and site grading. Permitting services
and approvals included: contingent use, variances, Allen County
Department of Planning Services, and the Allen County Surveyor’s
Office. The structural design included many architectural features
which included multilevel roofs and a wedge shape interior corridor. |
COMMERCIAL/OFFICE PROJECTS

West Jefferson Market Square: Site design for a 6 lot commercial
development in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In order to utilize the site, a
letter of map revision (LOMR) was required from FEMA, and was secured
during the design process. This required special hydraulic modeling
utilizing the HEC-2 water surface profile program. Design services
include storm sewer, storm water detention, sanitary sewer, water main,
road improvements, floodplain compensating fill calculations, poor soils
analysis, earthwork balance calculations, and site grading. Permitting
services and approvals included the Allen County Department of Planning
Services, IDEM, IDNR, Army Corps of Engineers, and the Allen County
Surveyors Office. |

Chapel Ridge Development : This project involved the site development of
a 72 acre commercial property located on SR 37 at the I-469 interchange.
Utility improvements included: storm sewers, stormwater detention,
sanitary sewers, water main extensions, and coordination of electric,
telephone and gas services. The site will serve a Super WalMart, Kohl’s,
9 outlots, and a general retail area. Our services included developing
the interior roadway infrastructure and Municipal roadway entrance
improvements. |

Northbrook Village: Road improvements at the intersection of State Road
3 and Dupont Road for the Private Development of Northbrook Village in
Fort Wayne, Indiana. Extensive improvements were required to meet the
development of this project, as well as two other quadrants of S.R. 3
and Dupont Road. Due to the magnitude of the improvements, the INDOT
District office required the plans to be developed as an INDOT roadway
project. Provided Services include plan geometrics and construction
documents for traffic movement through Northbrook Village, adjacent
developments, S.R. 3, and Dupont Road. Permitting Assistance was
provided with the Indiana Department of Transportation. A new signal was
required as a part of the 40+ acre commercial development. The new
signal was interconnected with the other S.R. 3 signals using a fiber
optic line to ensure proper timing. Permitting was secured from the
Indiana Department of Transportation. |
INDUSTRIAL PROJECTS

Summit Industrial Park: Infrastructure development of a 100 Acre
Industrial Park for the City of Fort Wayne Re-Development Commission.
Provided services include approximately one mile of road plan and
profile, cross sections, pay quantities, public sanitary sewer, storm
sewer and storm water detention, wetland coordination, construction
administration, permitting assistance through IDEM, NRCS, and the City
of Fort Wayne. Extensive coordination with local utility owners helped
to develop a Master Utility Plan for future development within the
Industrial Park. The project was publicly bid on a unit price basis. |

Magic Steel: Site development of a 26.5 Acre Industrial Warehousing Site
in DeKalb County, Indiana. Design services include off-site storm sewer,
storm water detention facilities, sanitary sewer lift station, water
main, hardscape paving, earthwork balance calculations, railroad siding,
and site grading. Permitting services includes the SWCS, DeKalb County
Plan Commission, and the DeKalb County Drainage Board. |

New
Process Warehousing facility: Site development and Structural
Engineering Design of a 22 Acre Industrial Warehousing Site in DeKalb
County, Indiana. Design services include off-site storm sewer, storm
water detention facilities, sanitary sewer lift station, water main,
hardscape paving, earthwork balance calculations, railroad siding, and
site grading. Permitting services includes the SWCS, DeKalb County Plan
Commission, and the DeKalb County Drainage Board. |
MUNICIPAL BUILDING PROJECTS

Allen County Community Corrections: Engineering Resources provided the
structural and site development services for this two story municipal
project. Due to poor soils, the building is supported on auger-cast
piling. The site required partial underground stormwater detention, and
improvements to the City streets at the two adjacent roadways. |
